Brush at least two times a day. If you want to practice good oral hygiene, you have to brush your teeth at least twice a day. You can do it in the morning and before you retire to bed. You should use a small brush but with soft and rounded bristles. The other thing is that you should replace your toothbrush at least after every three months. The bristles should be small to access all sides of the mouth and at the same time be soft to ensure that there are no damages caused. When brushing, place the toothbrush at 45-degree angle at the place where the teeth and the gum meet.

The proper way to floss

I am now going to give a basic guide to proper flossing. Cast a small piece of floss to around 18 inches long. After this wrap the floss around the middle finger. You can do this on the right hand middle finger and the other end on the middle finger of the left hand.

Walk the floss gently towards the gum line and between the teeth. Use a U-shape around each individual tooth and carefully slide the floss beneath the gum line. To remove the interdental plaque and debris, carefully move the floss up and down a couple of times.

To ensure that the floss do not inflame or even cut the gums, do not pop the floss in and out between the teeth.
