About six months after Tracey shared her hopes for Shutter Sisters with me -- and a few calls, many emails, and much collaboration later -- her plan was hatched, the Sisters were on board and Paige whipped up a banner and color scheme. I packaged it all up with some CSS and a bright shiny ribbon, and after a short beta launch, I think it's finally ready to meet you.

Readers, meet Shutter Sisters. Sisters, meet my readers. They're a small bunch but loyal and sincere.

Shutter Sisters, at its core, is a celebration of female photographers. Tracey hand-picked nearly a dozen contributors who post each day to the site. Readers are invited to click with us participating in Love Thursdays, Superhero Challenges, or by adding an image to our Flickr pool. Each day, a reader's image is featured in The Daily Click and photos nominated by readers are get the spotlight once a week in One Sweet Shot. (The first sweet shot will be picked Sunday -- head over and vote!)

Currently, my work schedule is a little hectic, so I'm only contributing once a month. I also want to make time to grow the hope revolution into a full online presence. There's a Flickr pool for now, and I'm developing a website to propagate the love. More info soon. Pinky swear.
